Essex Valley School's Woodworking students were recently given the opportunity to practice their skills while helping a member of the Caldwell community. Students participated in designing and building a backyard deck to improve the safety and functionality of a local home. With the assistance of their instructor, students gained real world construction experience while increasing their ability to work with their peers in a positive and productive way.
As a result of the students' exceptional work, the Mayor of Caldwell, Ann Dassling, issued an official proclamation recognizing the students involved in the project and their valued service to the community. EVS is very proud of their accomplishment!
